Preble County Commissioners
and Commission Staff

The Preble County Commissioners meet every Monday and Wednesday (except for Holidays) at 9:00 am.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Our office is located on the first floor of the Preble County Courthouse at 101 East Main St., Eaton.  The office phone number is 456-8143 and the office email is commissioners@prebco.org    


David Wesler
 (President of the Board) 

David Wesler began his initial term as commissioner in 2003 with a second term commencing in 2007. He is a graduate of Richmond High School, ATI in Wooster, Ohio, and The Ohio State University in Columbus. He also has continuing education credits from the Auditor of State's Office.

A lifelong resident of Preble County, David served as Jefferson Township Clerk for 10 years. He currently serves on numerous boards in the county, is actively involved with several service clubs, and is a member of Central United Methodist Church.

David and his wife, Mary, have three children, Leslie, Meghan, Jordan, and one grandchild, Frankie.

Bill Withrow
 

Commissioner Withrow commenced his term as Preble County Commissioner in January 2005. He is a graduate of Camden Shawnee High School in Camden, Ohio.

In addition to his duties as commissioner, Commissioner Withrow is also the owner of Withrow Motors in Eaton. He once served as the OMDA Director from 2000-2002. His other activities and affiliations include the Lion’s Club, Preble County Historical Society and the Southwestern Ohio Antique Power Association.

Bill and his wife, Julia, are members of the First Presbyterian Church and have eight children, Betsy, Becky, Scott, Stacy, Cindy, Tom, Vicki, and Krista.

Jane Marshall

Jane Marshall began her term as Commissioner in 2005. Jane is a graduate of Eaton High School and The Ohio State University with a BS in Engineering.

Prior to becoming Commissioner, she served on a variety of boards including the Preble County Fair Board, the Mental Health and Recovery Board, and the Preble County Farm Bureau. She is also a member of the Preble County Republican Central and Executive Committees.

Jane and her husband, Thomas, reside in Lanier Township and are the parents of five children. They are faithful members of the Concord United Church of Christ.

Michael W. Doss
County Administrator
 

Michael Doss began working as County Administrator on January 7, 2008.  He came to Preble County after working for over three years as Municipal Manager of the Village of Lewisburg.  He holds Bachelors degrees in both Political Science and Criminal Justice and a Masters degree in Public Administration. In addition to his duties as County Administrator he is also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lewisburg.  Michael and his wife Beth have two children, Grant and Garrett, and they reside in Lewisburg.

Connie Crowell
Clerk to the Board

Connie is a life-long resident of Preble County. She has been employed by Preble County since 1978. She was previously employed by the Preble County Engineer from 1978-1985. In 1985 she accepted the position as Clerk to the Board of Preble County Commissioners and remains in that position today.

Kim Keller
Administrative Assistant

Kim Keller is a life-long resident of Preble County. She has worked for the Board of Commissioners since May 1999 as their Administrative Assistant and Deputy Clerk. Kim also administers the County's CDBG grants and programs.

Debra Brock
Deputy Clerk

Debra is a lifetime resident of Preble County and came to work as Deputy Clerk for the County Commissioners in August of 2000. Prior to her employment with Preble County, she worked for CountyCorp, a private non-profit development corporation servicing Montgomery and neighboring counties. Debra currently serves on the Preble County District Library Board of Trustees.  She is the proud mother of three boys: Caleb and Silas Nelson and Benjamin "Benny" Brock.
